It was an emotional day all the way around yesterday…as one of my favorite players of all-time, Brandon Graham announced his retirement. Here’s a little snippet from his farewell speech…
It was such an incredible speech all the way around…and I’m just so happy he got to hang it up on his own terms…holding that press conference between TWO Lombardis. And it just gives me goosebumps thinking back to our training camp tour…when he announced that this would be his last season…and he just continuously manifested this ending.
It is so rare to go out on top in this league…and it really was almost like he KNEW it was going to happen during that entire chat. He’s a special player, an even more special person…
He gave us one of the most iconic defensive plays in Super Bowl history…with this sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52. He played more games in an Eagles uni than anyone in the 92 year history of that franchise…and just made such an impact on everyone he came in contact with during his incredible 15 year run in this league. Congrats BG! Excited to see what’s next…
