Shasta Averyhardt is a professional golfer from Flint, Michigan, who made history in 2010 by becoming the first African American woman since 2001 to earn an LPGA Tour card. She began playing golf at the age of seven, inspired by her father, and went on to have a standout collegiate career at Jackson State University, where she secured nine tournament victories, including four Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championships.
After a brief hiatus from golf to work in accounting, Averyhardt returned to the sport and has since competed on the Epson Tour, the LPGA's developmental circuit. Beyond her athletic achievements, she is dedicated to inspiring others and is actively involved in mentoring and community outreach.
