Alright, in this game, there were some really good throws. So here in tape number two, you see once again a lot of very impressive stuff. He gets the ball out quickly when he sets his feet; he shows the ability to drive the football and to place it with touch over defenders. He throws a very catchable ball—you don't see many receivers dropping passes from Shedeur because he places the football extremely well.
Areas he needs to continue improving include comfort in the pocket. When he's comfortable standing in there, you see what he does—he delivers nearly every single time. When he's confident in what he's seeing and what's happening in front of him, he's highly effective. In hot situations or under pressure, he'll have to continue improving on identifying quick throws and recognizing defender positions to get the football out quickly.
Again, we have to remember, I don't sit down and talk with these players; I don't review every play with them or discuss how often they're in meetings talking about protections. What I'm trying to do is look forward, saying, "Here's what they've shown that was really good on tape, and here are some recurring things they'll need to improve at the next level." I'm not trying to pick on anybody. I understand there are huge fans out there who support these quarterbacks—and they should. Personally, I believe he's the second-best QB in the draft. #shedeur #nfldraft #nfl
