The topic of today's study ball is going to be Kyle McCord, quarterback from Syracuse. Led the nation in passing this year. Moved from Ohio State, but for whatever reason, they decided to go a different direction and go get Will Howard—and it worked out; they won the national championship. Kyle goes to Syracuse—not as much notoriety up there, but played some really, really good football.

The thing I like about Kyle is he processes information really well. Accurate thrower with the underneath stuff. Not the most talented in terms of your body and arm and pushing the ball down the field, so the further the ball gets down the field, the more inaccurate he gets with those throws. So he's going to have to be a guy at the next level, in my opinion, that processes, gets it out, you know—hits those 25-and-under throws consistently, and maybe not live in that second-level world.

Which, you know, brings you that caution—can he be a starter in the National Football League? Because that second-level throw, to me, is what separates really good starting quarterbacks in the NFL from everybody else. #kylemccord #nfl #nfldraft
