Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams didn’t mince words when asked during a recent Fanatics panel interview about the most irritating fanbase in the NFL. When asked, “Who don’t you like from an opposing fan perspective?” Caleb didn’t hesitate:
“Probably Green Bay,” Williams said. “They suck.”
That comment lit a fire on social media — but Caleb was just getting started. With a grin on his face, he reminded everyone of his performance at Lambeau Field:
“After the game, after we won at Lambeau,” Williams said, smiling. “1-0 at Lambeau.”
He repeated it for effect:
“1-0 at Lambeau.”
But it was his hilarious (and very real) story about attempting the Lambeau Leap that truly highlighted the tension between the rookie QB and Packers fans:
“We so obviously try to do the Lambeau leap and we actually try to jump in the crowd where our fans were…”
“…and they (Packers fans) just, they start throwing everything at you. They push you off and the Lambeau leap, it's a real leap.”
And then, he added one more detail with a laugh:
“It's not a little baby jump. You actually have to high jump basically. And then they're pushing you, pushing your face. Yeah, that was probably then.”
