Is this the Nebraska team Matt Rhule has been waiting for? The Nebraska Cornhuskers reached a bowl game last year for the first time since 2016, and given Matt Rhule's history at Temple and Baylor, winning 10 games or more in his third year at both stops, many except that Nebraska Football can finally field a Top 25, Big Ten Championship contender for the first time in over a decade. Quarterback Dylan Raiola returns, and several of his weapons, running back Emmett Johnson, wide receiver Jacorey Barney Jr, and incoming transfer wide receivers Dane Key and Nyziah Hunter, either return or are incoming upgrades over previous players. His offensive line up front has been bolstered by incoming guard Rocco Spindler, and while the defense has questions, I think Vincent Shavers and Marques Watson-Trent make up an awesome linebacker room for the Blackshirts. Nebraska Football has the roster to succeed in 2025; it's just a matter of can Matt Rhule, Dana Holgorsen, and John Butler can unlock their roster to its full potential.
