Chicago Bears Rumors are heating up as Dennis Allen signaled during Bears rookie minicamp that the Bears need to add an EDGE rusher. Allen told reporters that the initial plan with rookie DL Shemar Turner is to develop him primarily as a defensive tackle at both 3-tech and nose tackle. Allen did mention Turner’s versatility and ability to perhaps play EDGE down the road, but it doesn’t sound like that’s part of the initial plan. Does that mean the Bears need to sign or trade for an EDGE rusher? The Bears have Montez Sweat, Dayo Odeyingbo, Austin Booker and then a bunch of question marks.
