“The experience down here was outrageous. The love the people there showed my family was everything I could ask for. Coach DeBoer is a great person and a great coach. He also has great people in the building that will develop you on and off the field.”

Steve Wiltfong on Xavier Griffin:
“Could Texas, Florida State or Ohio State beat Alabama on the NIL front? We’ll see but the Tide are giving Griffin a lot to think about. He visited with his mom, her fiance, his grandfather and cousin. His grandfather works down the road from campus. Alabama linebackers Qua Russaw and Justin Hill spent a lot of time with Griffin. He grew up a Tide fan and has thought often about playing inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Griffin will continue through his process but family connections, proximity from home, the fit defensively continue to keep Alabama in high standing.”
