Alabama Football recruiting news kicks off today with #2 RB EJ Crowell announcing his commitment date for June 26th. Crowell is the top 2026 RB target for The Crimson Tide and has an official visit set up just 4 days before his commitment announcement. The College Football Playoff Management Committee has also announced that the 2025 College Football Playoff seeding will no longer feature the 4 highest ranked conference champions getting the first round bye. Instead, teams will be seeded as they are ranked by the college football playoff committee.

New College Football Playoff Seeding: (College Football Playoff Management Committee)
“The new policy will guarantee the five highest-ranked conference champions a place in the Playoff, but will no longer include a bye for the four highest-ranked champions. The 12-team bracket will now be seeded directly based on the final ranking of the CFP Selection Committee, with the four highest-ranked teams receiving a first-round bye. If one or more of the five highest-ranked conference champions are ranked outside the top 12, that team or teams would move up to the 12th seed, 11th seed, etc., based on the number of conference champions outside the top 12.”

- Big 10: 4 Auto Bids
- ACC: 2 Auto Bids
- Big 12: 2 Auto Bids
