Riley Skinner left Winston Salem as Wake Forest's all-time winningest quarterback after leading the Demon Deacons to 31 wins a starter from 2006-2009. The Jacksonville, Florida native led Wake to its first-ever appearance in the ACC Football Championship game in 2006 where they beat Georgia Tech 9-6. Skinner led the ACC in passing efficiency that season and was named ACC Rookie of the Year. In 2007 Skinner set an ACC record for completion percentage that still holds today. Skinner also still holds an NCAA record for best completion percentage in a bowl game from his 11-11 performance in the Deacs' EagleBank Bowl win over Navy. Skinner became the first Wake Forest quarterback to lead his team to 3 straight bowl games and set school records in completion percentage, passing yards, completions, touchdowns passes and passing efficiency during his time leading the Demon Deacons. Enjoy this look back at highlights from his days at Wake Forest, brought to you by the ACC Digital Network.
