The Chicago Bears' offense took a significant step forward on Day 2 of the 2025 mandatory minicamp at Halas Hall. Head Coach Ben Johnson praised rookie quarterback Caleb Williams for his rapid development and ability to absorb intense coaching. "Today went well. It felt like football. I cannot wait to get the pads on for these guys," Johnson remarked. He added, "The defense has had the better of the offense during this camp. But, the offense won the day. Caleb really had a nice day today. The game looked like it slowed down." Johnson highlighted Williams' passion and growth, stating, "He's passionate. He loves the game. He's making strides and it's great to see his growth already."

Analysts Clay Harbor and Zack Pearson echoed Johnson's sentiments. Harbor noted, "Caleb Williams had a very nice practice. Hit some big throws and we got to see his legs in move the ball period scrambling for some 1st downs. Nice growth from day 1 to 2. #DaBears #Bears." Pearson observed, "The #Bears first team offense successfully completed a 94-yard two-minute drill today vs. the defense. Drive ended on a touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Kyle Monangai. Williams also made a nice throw on the run to Olamide Zaccheaus for about 36 yards. Jonathan Owens did almost pick him off twice. One he dropped and another he got his hands on, but was a tough play." Pearson also noted that Johnson mentioned the defense had previously dominated these two-minute drills during OTAs.

The competition at left tackle is intensifying. Harbor observed, "Ozzy was back with the one's today and had a very nice practice. Pads aren't on obviously but guy looks uncommon for a rookie. Reminds me of Ryan Ramczyk as a rookie when I was with the Saints how he fits in so quickly. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears."

Safety Jaquan Brisker, who missed most of last season due to a concussion, addressed the media, expressing his excitement to return to the field. He stated, "I'm back. 9 is back. I'm going to do what I do. It's hard being away from ball. I am happy to be back." Coach Johnson commented on Brisker's impact, saying, "He's not afraid to hit ya. We always told the WR's to account for him. An active player that is passionate about football. He likes to talk a little bit too."

Third-year defensive back Tyrique Stevenson reflected on last season's challenges, including the infamous Hail Mary against the Commanders, stating, "Nothing to be talked about. I owned it. It was a mistake. It was a mistake that was nationally televised. I owe the guys from last year. No conversation to be had."

Stay tuned for more updates as the Bears continue to build momentum heading into the 2025 season.
